gamecoupon | Korea and Japan clash in a series of Overwatch team matches

If you’ve ever wanted another glimpse into the Asian Overwatch scene, today’s your chance.

While you wait for tonight’s series of Atlantic Showdown matches, why not take a look at what Korean and Japanese Overwatch feels like. Starting at 12:00 CEST today, July 14, a total of three showmatches between three teams will be played in a Bo3 format.

The first team out of Korea is Team LuxuryWatch (LW). Headlined by star DPS player Pine, who became known through a viral video featuring astounding Widowmaker player, LW could be considered as the favorites to take this series of showmatches home.

They are to face heavy opposition in the face of fellow countrymen MiG, however. MiG benefits from the stern and capable leadership of legendary LoL player Woong and takes on the best practices of Korean esports – discipline and dedication.

Opposing Korea will be team Detonator from Japan. Although they could be considered the underdogs, Detonator are sporting two local championships at the JCG Master tournaments.

Results and standings of the tournament will be updated below.

Team Matches Wins Draws Losses Pts
MiG 1 1 0 0 3
TeamLW 0 0 0 0 0
DTN.OW 1 0 0 1 0

0 – 3
